Upon completion of my undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, I earned my CPA and worked in public accounting.  During my years in public accounting, I audited numerous organizations in a variety of regulated industries, such as banks, insurance companies and utilities. Building upon my financial acumen, I went to work for a client underwriting multi-million dollar commercial real estate loans.  My loans covered a variety of properties, including multi-family housing, self-storage facilities, office space and hotels.  Deciding that I had a strong grasp of business fundamentals via my early career experiences, I returned to school.

I completed my MBA in 2001 from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with a major in marketing.  After business school, I worked in a variety of consumer packaged goods companies (e.g., Colgate, Kraft, Heinz) driving strategic growth for several brands.  I launched, developed and grew brands at various stages of the product life cycle.  I enjoyed directly impacting an organization's bottom line via my efforts.

Rejoining the work force after starting a family, I chose to pursue a career that allowed me to tangibly see the results of my efforts.  I started working at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business as a professional development and executive career coach.

As a career coach, I have led numerous lectures and webinars to empower students and working professionals with the tools and skills needed for an effective career search and on-the job success.  I have extensive experience working with people to ascertain and achieve their career goals via strategic planning, positioning and branding assessments, identifying transferrable skills and providing counsel for working through challenging work situations.
